The project of Tunis Sport-City

The project of Tunis Sport-City, located at the Lac Nord area of Tunis, will be conducted by the Emirati ‘Boukhater Group’. It will cover a total area of 255 Ha, including 9 sports academies, with a total cost of $ US 5 billion, and will generate 40 000 jobs.
In addition to the sports infrastructure, Tunis Sport City is a town covering 119 hectares, and 3.5 million covered square meters to be used for housing, services, schools, trade and top-class leisure facilities. Furthermore, 60% of the area will be allocated for green areas and artificial canals to meet the needs of 50 000 inhabitants and provide 10 000 housing units.
Enfidha airport

Tunisia is provided with its ninth airport. Opened a short time ago, Enfidha Zine el Abidine Ben Ali airport will operate its first flight on December, 4th, 2010. The Tunisiair flight, from the Spanish city of Bilbao, will be carrying 115 passengers aboard. The airport lies less than 100 kms from Tunis and about 60 km from the city of Monastir, in the gulf of Hammamet. Designed to ease off air traffic at the two airports of Tunis and Monastir, this airport will be mainly used for charter flights. This is why it is not currently operational. Enfidha airport carries the NBE code. It is provided with a total annual capacity of 5 million passengers, an air terminal covering 75 000 m2, a runway 3300 meters long, 32 hangars, 18 mechanical passenger bridges, a control tower 85 meters high, as well as a car park with a total capacity of 120 coaches and 500 cars.
Being the fruit of the Tunisian-Turkish partnership, the project is represented in Tunisia by TAV company. A big tourist complex in Zembra A big tourist, environmental and health complex will be set on the island of Zembra by a Chinese investor. The Chinese investments are highly ambitious on the island of Zembra. This rocky and smart island, covering an area of 391 hectares, is located to the north-east of the Gulf of Tunis (15 kms from Sidi Daoud and 55 kms from the port of La Goulette).
Bled El Ward project in the North of Tunis
This project is conducted by Al Maabar International Investments Company. Considered as the biggest on the African continent, Bled El Ward project is located on the northern coastlines of the capital Tunis. It covers a total area of 5000 hectares and is expected to attract an investment of 10 billion dollars.
"Al Qoussour" project of Hergla
El Eammar group will invest 2,6 billion TD for the construction of the tourist project in Hergla. This tourist mega-project of "Al Qoussour" (the palaces), covering a total area of 442 hectares on the coastlines of Hergla, will contain 40000 accommodation units, 6 luxurious hotels, a number of leisure centers, 1 yacht club, 1 lacustrian city and an 18-trou et 1 terrain de golf 18 holes (by72).
The port of Bizerte project This project consists in ensuring the planning of the leisure port of Bizerte and making of it one of the biggest marinas around the Mediterranean basin. Currently limited to 120 rings (for sailing boats and vessels), the capacity of the port will increase tenfold to reach 000 rings.
This project was entrusted to Cap 3000, a company with a capital of 4 000 000DT. This leisure port will be operational in 2010 and the project is estimated to cost 170 million dinars. In addition to the port, the project offers entertainment and culture areas, an aquarium (oceanographic museum), green areas, un underground car park, a naval project covering an area of 1.5 hectares in Zarzouna and high-standard buildings. Radès- La Goulette Bridge Le pont Radès-La Goulette est un pont à haubans extradossé enjambant le lac de Tunis, plus précisément le chenal ainsi que la voie rapide et la ligne du TGM reliant Tunis à La Goulette. Being the biggest bridge in Tunisia, it was inaugurated on March 21st, 2009, by President Zine Ben Ali. It substitutes for the car ferry which used to exist in order to ensure the crossing of vehicles from one bank to another. Il remplace alors le service de bacs qui assurait jusque-là la traversée des véhicules.
the mega project of cultural tourism in Dougga
this mega-project, to profit the local population first and foremost, aims at tapping and highlighting the cultural, heritage and natural characteristics of the region in order to help upgrade a varied and sustainable cultural tourism program there. Ce méga projet touristique, dont devraient bénéficier plus particulièrement les populations locales, a pour objectif d’exploiter et de mettre en valeur toutes les spécificités culturelles, patrimoniales et naturelles de la région afin d’y promouvoir un tourisme culturel varié et durable.
Steered by the Ministry of culture and Safeguard of the h=heritage, the project is the fruit of Tunisian-French cooperation. Its implementation involves several other ministries like the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Equipment, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Environment.
the achievement f this big project will cost a total of 9 million dinars, 5 of which will provided by Tunisia and 2.5 Euros by France.
Taparura project 
This Taparura project was launched to bring the city of Sfax close to its maritime environment. On April, 6th, 2006, the President of the Republic issued his directives to start the works relative to the first segment of the project.
On August 28th, 2007, the Head of State instructed the extension of the filling works towards the North until the outdoor amphitheatre on the Sidi Mansour road (Second segment of the project).
The purpose of the Taparura project is to de-pollute the northern part of town, tidy up the beaches of Sfax and the recovery of 240 hectares of land to be saved from the sea and used for urban extension. This program concerns the zone going from the commercial port to the Summer theater of Sfax lying 6 kms from the city center.
This extension zone will be devised for leisure areas, hotel and accommodation, business services activities, green areas and public equipment zones. Cost of works 140,5 Million Dinars Works budget
- Loan from the European Investment bank: 55 Million Dinars. - Taxes will be levied from the State budget: 21,4 Million Dinars - Belgian public and bank credits: 51,2 Millions Dinar - French public bank credits:12,9 Million Dinars.
The TAPARURA project will be conducted over two phases: Phase 1 : Depollution of the zone and recovery of sea land (420ha for two segments of the project) Phase 2 : Planning of the zone and development of a new urban pole
