Morocco will be offered a 1000m2 stand at the Shanghai 2010 Universal Expo, where i twill be displaying, under the slogan of « living art », the various aspects of its culture, civilization as well as its know how in handicrafts and architecture, as indicated by the organization committee of this event.
According to the committee, Morocco tops the list of the African countries having signed, recently, a participation contract with the Chinese.
Morocco appointed Ahmed Ammor as general commissioner of Morocco to "Shanghaï-2010".
When planning the Moroccan stand, the designers have to take into account the national architectural and artistic features, as well as the factors underlying the success of the Kingdom during the last two editions of the Universal Expo "Japan-2005" and "Saragosse-2008".
Ever since the first big industrial exhibit, held in London, 1815, universal Expos have been publicized as vantage venues to open up onto the rest of the world, boost business transactions and enhance international cooperation.
Shanghai, an economic and financial pole, will be hosting this exhibit from May 1st to October 31st, 2010.
