Tunisia's Organic Olive Oil Day was held on Tuesday 12 octobr, on the fringes of the 2010 Shanghai Universal Exhibition. The event, gathering 12 olive-oil-exporting companies, was marked by an organic olive oil tasting session, as well as the display of olive-oil-cooked dishes. 

Trade and Handicrafts Minister Ridha Mosbah urged Tunisian exporters to make the most of the available opportunities in order to consolidate the markets shares for the Tunisian olive oil, to ease access and meet the new markets' needs (quality, packaging and quantity). 

The minister reminded that China and India represent promising markets for Tunisian olive oil.
Olive oil exporters voiced will to have a foothold in these promising markets and increase their share of olive oil exports, as well as diversify Tunisian supplies, the aim being to satisfy the customers' needs. 

Mr. Ben Mosbah, together with the delegation accompanying him, also visited Huawei Company’s research centre.
This Chinese firm, settled in Tunisia, ranks second internationally in the communication and information technologies sector.
